Key Message Materials

Diabetes Initiative National Program Office staff met with communications experts* to develop a set of key messages with supporting points for the central role of self management in diabetes care.

Grantees had the opportunity to interact with a panel of reporters and media experts at one of their collaborative learning network meetings. Experts provided tips and strategies for working with the media to share program findings.

The Diabetes Initiative was a national program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation from 2002 to 2009.
